Keith Parker has extensive experience mediating claims

for disability, life and medical benefits under ERISA and

California law; claims arising from employment including

discrimination and wrongful termination; claims arising

from property and liability insurance, including coverage

and defense disputes; claims for professional negligence

including fee disputes; and claims arising from general

business disputes including breach of contract, breach of

partnership, theft of trade secrets and unfair competition.

Mr. Parker received his mediation training from the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution, including courses in “Mediating the Litigated Case” and “Advanced Mediation Skills.”

Mr. Parker is a member of the neutral panel of ADR Services, Inc., and serves as a Settlement Officer for the United States District Court for the Central District of California.  Mr. Parker served as an arbitrator for the Orange County Bar Association Mandatory Fee Arbitration Committee for 10 years.


From 1994 to 2012, Mr. Parker was a partner at Smith, Silbar & Parker, specializing in business litigation disputes filed in the California and Federal courts.  He represented insurers in disability, health and life insurance benefit disputes with insureds and contract disputes with medical providers.  He also represented individuals and small businesses in contract, employment and business tort disputes.

From 1983 to 1994, Mr. Parker was first an associate and then a partner at Latham & Watkins in its Orange County office representing employers in discrimination and wrongful termination litigation, government contractors in civil and criminal False Claims Act litigation for inadequate performance and/or inadequate quality assurance practices.

From 1982 to 1983 Mr. Parker was a law clerk to the Honorable George E. MacKinnon, Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
